Captains,

There’s something momentous on the horizon, and you’re just the salty-dog to get the job done. We’re looking for a few good sailors to join us in testing the latest build for World of Warships! We’ve got a cargo hold full of keys to distribute, so scope the information below and get in on all the high-seas action!

Begins: Friday, December 12 at 15:00 PST / 18:00 EST
Ends: Sunday, December 14 at 23:59 PST / 02:59 EST on December 15

There will be server restarts on the 13th and 14th that will take approximately one hour. Beginning at 05:00 PST/ 08:00 EST.

What’s With the Name?

“This weekend with World of Warships, we are starting with a new model of testing and are looking forward to seeing the results of this new approach,” states Daniil Volkov, World of Warships Development Director. “The game is still in the early stages of development. Opening it to a larger audience will allow us to get a lot of relevant feedback that will be instrumental in defining player expectations and outlining what we are to focus on in the coming months.”

The event will feature three classes of military vessels, offering players the chance to experience the unique “Rock-Paper-Scissors” approach to naval combat. Players will have the opportunity to command American cruisers and destroyers as well as Japanese battleships, cruisers, and destroyers.

    if i have just tried to get a code 11 min before i did, i would have got in… :( :( :( im so sad right now….
    Any idea of (if it can happen) how to get a code???

    My question being why are keys being given out to random people online, but those of us who registered for the Beta MONTHS ago dont get a key? Was this logic inspired by too much vodka?

      I feel your pain. I signed up as soon as they started allowing registrations. I got nothing.

    Ok I just got home from work and noticed this Beta Test Weekend event. I clicked the sign up button immediately and was told that they are not accepting anymore applications. It kinda sucks and feels like I’m being punished because I have a job and I have to wait till I get home to hope on the computer, to find out about a super cool event like this and then not get the chance to try a beta key.
    Anyways rant over and congrats to those that get a key and hope yall have fun.

      i fell like i’m getting punished since (in my time) the event was from like 5 in the morning to like 6, i’m sooo sorry i don’t have the same time as you do wargaming

    I sure would love to have a key for this. I have been playing WOT everyday, and just recently started playing WOP after upgrading my pc for just that purpose. Please send me a key!!!!!!

    I have cleared the decks for action and am ready to man battle stations.. The CNO (my wife) has cleared me for as many fleet actions as I like Friday evening through Sunday night.. Is there anything in particular the developers would like feedback on?

      So look for things like stuttering, jumping, lag, FPS, crashes, model collisions, physics things “going wrong” — anything related to higher server load.

      Oh, also how effective is the social things with “more” players, like how well does the chat system work, how well does the voice chat work (does it have it yet even?). How well does the “in-game” communication work – like in WoT, designating a target by pressing “T”, or calling for help type thing.

      That’s my guess. :) Have fun.

    I just received mine from curse, looked at the current giveaways on curse’s website,clicked on wows, signed in, followed the link and activated the key, just finished downloading, on the chance others can still use the same method i’m letting you guys know.

    Good job on failing with the keys. I’ve been signed up for this since they open sign ups and can’t even get a key for this…..really killing my interest if I can’t even play and I’ve applied multiple times already.

    I played the game and love what there is so far. It has a few rough spots, but looks great. I tried several times to take the survey, but it says it’s not live or something to that effect. Unfortunately, I’ve not been able to play as much as I had hoped, and I hope there are more chances to play again in the near future. Thanks!

    That Was amazing!!!! What you have so far is solid. Wish there was an american Battle Ship but over all nice. The game when I went full screen was clunky and tried on two different systems. Also when it’s not in full screen if you have two monitors it can be a problem :) I had to turn the second monitor off in the control panel. But thanks and I hope I have a chance to help test.
