In Update 14.1 we are removing the 32-bit version of the game client. Today we want to share with you the details about this decision.
Currently, we provide the option for players to run the game on the 32-bit (x86 architecture) client or the 64-bit (x64 architecture) client. According to our data, less than 0,51% of our players use the 32-bit client which is more forgiving to player systems running with lower amounts of RAM, and the majority use 64-bit which is more suited to modern computers with more RAM and CPU power.
We have reached a point where the majority of the features we are developing now are not fully compatible with the 32-bit client, and having two game clients to support complicates the development of the game.
Taking this into consideration, from the start of Update 14.1, the option to run the 32-bit client will no longer be available.
The 64-bit client requires more RAM since the architecture itself isn't constrained by the limitations imposed by 32-bit technology.
For all the PCs that already fit into our system requirements listed here, there will be no change. But for some players whose PC has less RAM than the current minimum requirements, this means that the change will possibly lower the performance of the game on their computers.
Please note that all information in the development blog is preliminary. Announced adjustments and features may change multiple times during testing. The final information will be published on our game's website.
